ICRON acquires airline technology company to strengthen aviation software product offering and spur business growth
Istanbul, 22 May 2019 – ICRON, a leading provider of Optimized Decision Making and Supply Chain Optimization software solutions, today announced that it has acquired EZA Technology, an airline software solutions company. The aim of the acquisition is to bolster the technological capabilities of ICRON’s suite of end-to-end solutions for the aviation sector and expand its footprint in the global aviation market.
Founded in 2017, EZA Technology specializes in developing and delivering software solutions for aviation companies such as digital airline retailing, inventory consolidation, distribution solutions as a service.
With the acquisition, three experts in aviation software solutions – who previously ran EZA Technology – will be joining ICRON. Esad Taha Çakıcı has been appointed as ICRON’s Product Management Director for Aviation, Ahmet Ağıllı as ICRON’s Global Sales Director for Aviation, and Zia Ul Hasan Malik as ICRON’s Platform Development Director for Aviation.
With the airline technology experience of the three new executives (who will be based in ICRON’s Istanbul office), ICRON will be able to enrich its product portfolio for the aviation industry – which currently includes maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and ground handling optimization solutions – and drive business growth and development.
ICRON’s solutions are currently being utilized by leading aviation companies around the world – including Turkish Technic, a Turkish Airlines affiliate that is one of the world’s leading airlines maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services providers, and Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL), a joint venture between Singapore Airlines Engineering Company, Rolls-Royce, and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited that is a Trent Centre of Excellence providing best-in-class aero engine and component repair services for the Rolls-Royce Trent engine family.
