The ICRON Research Center in fact started in 1992 when Ali Tamer Ünal founded ICRON Technologies in Chicago USA, renamed to ICRON in 2001. Being the visionary and founder of ICRON he and his team are always focused on the next wave, the future needs of the ICRON customers.

Tamer has been working on large scale Supply Chain Planning, Scheduling and Optimization systems for clients around the world for over 25 years now. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and is an Associate Professor at Industrial Engineering Faculty of Bogazici University. At ICRON Tamer has a great team supporting and challenging him with the goal of making his vision possible; now and in the future.

The Research Center is responsible for the Research & Development of ICRON; from vision to reality and execution. It can also be seen as the Industry 4.0 laboratories of ICRON. It’s the place where our smart developers, Ph.D.’s, assistant and associate professors are rethinking the future; creating the future of supply chain solutions today. The supply chain environment is changing rapidly, first of all because of the continuously changing customer demand. The world is customer driven, customer centric and brand can rise and fall within a very short timeframe.
